We want to thank Brenda, all the writers and the Sunday World for making this possible.

We asked Brenda why she decided to do the book:
“As a journalist, I got the chance to interview Judith shortly after Lily-Mae was diagnosed with cancer. I freelance for The Sunday World. In my 30 years experience in journalism - it was one of the most heart-breaking conversations I have ever had. It reduced me to tears. I wrote the story and continued on.
But circumstances, and the power of Facebook took over. At the end of September - myself and my two children, Aoise and Edward and my husband were given the privilege to sing in the chorus on Tiny Dancer. It was a very emotional day that melted many hearts.
I decided to do something more to help. I run The Write Space. The only registered Creative Writing School in the North East of Ireland. I asked the children and adult writers if they would like to produce a book with the proceeds going towards The Sunni Mae Trust. They jumped at the chance and took Lily-Mae to their hearts.
Through weekly classes, and a lot of hard work, the writers crafted a special book. The emphasis being on one of Lily-Mae’s favourite things - fairies. We also asked some famous people to recall their first childhood memories.
No. 1 best-selling author Cathy Kelly, artists like Mary Black, Mikey Joe Harte, The Pale and Kila, gave us their recollections also.”
